The Scooter

Phil Rizzuto passed away today, I'm way too young to have seen him play but I do remember him being the Yankees broadcaster in the early to mid 80s, my earliest memories of watching Yankees games on Channel 11 are filled with play by play from the Scooter and Bill White and Rizzuto always talking about leaving the game early to beat traffic, wishing people happy birthdays and plugging his favorite restaurants who would give him free food. He wasn't perfect but he was always very enjoyable. I miss those days.

On a happier note, where are all those people who were burying the Yankees a couple of months ago?
